I found this video a few weeks ago and can't help but share it with others since. I absolutely LOVE the very thought of being able to do something like this--not only to see the world round, but also to connect and interact with people from ever corner of the globe. I hope you enjoy this celebration of life and interconnectedness as much as I do!

  1. oh my goodness, I love this! I can't even imagine the kinds of conversations and memories that would have resulted from an experience like this, had over and over with people from all over the world! And it's such a happy video!

    2. The scene when he's in Tonga and the huge wave comes? bet he lost his cell phone too... way to turn your back on the ocean...

  4. I am truly inspired and love this idea. Traveling is often scene as a selfish act of learning instead of an immersing of oneself into another place, culture and global opportunity. It requires self reflection and a true concern for the other person within their context. which isn't always easy. This is cool.

  5. haha...respect the ocean! I also got really excited at the first clip of the bean - Chicago!

Speaking of people within their context, I was particularly interested that people from all of those places seemed to react so similarly! I'm not sure if they picked up the style of dancing from the main guy, or if there is some universal way of dancing simply for fun, but either way it brought a smile to my face.

  6. In reply to the anonymous comment above brigit, I agree with the idea of immersing oneself in another place. I'm yet to go on a trip where I didn't to some degree "live" there for a time. And to be honest, i don't think i'd ever want to go somewhere without having a connection there first so i can see the place from the inside out, not the outside in. If that makes sense.
